Yesterday

In 1983 with only three attorneys, two secretaries and a part-time real estate abstractor, the vision of Tom Minor, III became a reality with the opening of a small law firm in Dalton, Georgia. By the end of 1985, the firm had welcomed Bill Bell, John Neal and Steve Farrow, and the professional corporation of Minor, Bell & Neal, P.C. was formed. The name has remained constant over the years; however the firm has continued to grow.

In July of 2000, Minor, Bell & Neal merged with the LaFayette, Georgia law firm of Watson, Dana & Gottlieb. As a result of the merger, Battlefield Title Agency, Inc. also became part of the firm. This not only enlarged the firm's practice, but it also expanded the geographic reach with offices in three locations in northwest Georgia. In 2006, a third generation of the Minor family joined the firm.  This same year the LaFayette office of Minor, Bell & Neal and Battlefield Title Agency were combined into our current Battlefield Crossing location. 

With almost 100 years of combined legal experience between the founder of Minor, Bell & Neal, Tom Minor, III and the founding partner of Watson, Dana & Gottlieb, Dennis Watson; Minor, Bell & Neal has become a northwest Georgia cornerstone with a legacy of experience and excellence.

Today

Tom Minor, III is now retired, but his son and his grandson along with Dennis Watson, Dennis' daughter and 12 other attorneys make up the Minor, Bell & Neal team.

Minor, Bell and Neal's attorneys are known throughout northwest Georgia, Chattanooga and beyond, not only for continuing the firm's tradition of legal excellence in their practice areas of Business Law, Domestic Relations, Elder Law, Employment Law, Goverment, Health Care, Litigation, Real Estate, Risk Management, and Wills Trusts Estates, but also for their committed service to their clients and communities.  With over 200 years combined experience among 16 attorneys, the current Minor, Bell & Neal team, like the firm's founders, are recognized as experts and leaders both within and without the legal profession.
