William W. Bell, Jr.

William Wallis Bell, Jr.  concentrates his legal practice in the areas of Business Transactions, Corporate and Commercial Law, Bankruptcy, Estate Planning and Estate Administration.

Mr. Bell is a native of Americus, Ga. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Georgia in 1968. He was an honor roll student of the University of Georgia Law School, graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 1973. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar the same year.

Mr. Bell began his legal career in Gainesville, Ga., serving with the law firms of Smith, Smith & Frost, and Smith & Bell. He was also associated with Stophel, Caldwell & Heggie of Dalton and Chattanooga, Tenn. before joining the Minor, Bell & Neal firm in 1984.
Mr. Bell is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute, and has served as secretary and president of the Conasauga Bar Association. In addition, he has served as a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

While in Gainesville, Mr. Bell was a member of the Jaycees, which he served as director, secretary-treasurer and vice president. He is a past director, secretary, vice president and president of the Kiwanis Club of Dalton, and has served the Georgia District of Kiwanis as lieutenant governor and chairman of club meetings.

He has served as an adjunct professor of Brenau College and enjoys amateur radio, golf, tennis and fishing in his spare time. Mr. Bell is a member of the Varnell United Methodist Church.
