Judy L. Poag joined Minor, Bell and Neal as an Associate in September,
2005 after practicing for 3 years with the Atlanta-based law firm of Fisher
& Phillips, LLP and serving as Corporate Counsel for National Employer
Solutions, located in Alpharetta, Georgia for 6 years. A native of Eton, Georgia, Ms. Poag earned a Bachelor's Degree in economics from the University of Georgia in 1984 and received a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law in 1996. While at Georgia State University, Ms. Poag served as Research Editor for the Law Review. Ms. Poag concentrates her practice in the areas of Employment Law and Corporate Law. Her employment law practice involves providing clients with day-to-day preventive advice to reduce the likelihood of demands, charges, and litigation. This day-to-day advice includes preparing employee handbooks and policies, conducting manager and employee training, conducting internal audits, and providing counsel regarding hiring, termination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, wage and hour issues, the Family and Medical Leave Act, harassment, discrimination, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, drug testing, OSHA, and other federal and state laws and regulations affecting employment. |
