Concentrating in Real Estate Law is J. Tom Minor, IV. Mr.
Minor is a graduate of Mercer University where he earned his Bachelor's
Degree in 1978. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Walter F.
George School of Law at Mercer in 1981 and was admitted to the Georgia
Bar the same year. He associated with the law firm of Smith, Shaw, Maddox, Davidson & Graham from 1981-1983 before returning to his native Dalton and joining Minor, Bell & Neal in 1983. He became a partner the next year and has concentrated his practice in real property law since that time. Mr. Minor is a member of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorney’s Association where he served as director from 1989 to 1993. He is a member of the American Land Title Association and the Conasauga and American Bar Associations. Mr. Minor is a member of the State Bar of Georgia where he served as a Director of the executive committee of the Real Property Section of the State Bar from 1999 to 2002. Tom is an active community leader and is a past president of the Cherokee Area Planning Council, a trustee of the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation, a past Lt. Governor of the Georgia District of the Kiwanis Club, a past president of the Creative Arts Guild of Dalton, and is the Senior Warden of St. Marks Episcopal Church of Dalton. |
