James F. Tucker, Jr. (“Jim”) is originally from Barnwell, SC.  He received his BA degree in 1993 from Brigham Young University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Political Science.  After graduation, Mr. Tucker was employed for eight years in the poultry industry in North Georgia as a production supervisor and purchasing coordinator.

Mr. Tucker earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2005, graduating in the top 20% of his class.  While in school he received the CALI Award for highest grade in Decedent’s Estates & Trusts and in the Law & Religion Seminar and was a member of the 2004/2005 Mercer Law Review.  He also participated in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition presenting a case in Trademark and Unfair Competition law. 

Mr. Tucker’s practice will focus on general corporate and commercial transactions and litigation (including intellectual property and unfair competition) and local government and utility issues.
