James L. Catanzaro, Jr.

James L. Catanzaro, Jr. joined the professional staff of Minor, Bell & Neal in 2001 after practicing 10 years with the Chattanooga law firm of Strang, Fletcher, Carriger, Walker, Hodge & Smith.

A native of Pomona, California, Mr. Catanzaro earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio State University in Columbus in 1986 and added his Juris Doctorate from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1989. He was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1990, the Tennessee Bar in 1991 and the Georgia Bar in 2001.

Mr. Catanzaro concentrates his practice of law in the areas of Healthcare and General Corporate Law. In addition to working with commercial and manufacturing enterprises, Mr. Catanzaro advises mental health facilities, hospitals and physicians. He has extensive experience in compliance and regulatory work and formulating and structuring healthcare joint venture operations, including assisting a client obtain an advisory opinion from the Office of Inspector General, Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Catanzaro chairs the firm's Health Law Group and the Health Law Section of the Chattanooga Bar Association, is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, ABA Health Law Section and the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, and has lectured on ERISA pre-emption, Stark and Fraud and Abuse Law and commercial lending.
